I first found yoga as a teen. My mom decided to sign us up for a class. At first, I was nervous, not knowing what to expect when I entered the studio. I was instantly drawn to yoga's ability to calm my mind, fuel my body, and enliven my soul. Yoga became something my mother and I had in common. It was our way of bonding during those years where mothers and daughters find themselves at odds.

I came back to yoga in college. My migraines were out of control and the only relief came when I meditated and focused on my breath. That's the beauty of yoga, it's always there for you. It's the friend you haven't spoken to in years but are able to pick up exactly where you left off.

Three years ago my path as a yogi lead me to 21st Century Yoga on the Mat where I completed my 200 hour teacher training certification. My training includes Hatha, Yin, Flow, and Restorative with elements of Mediation and breath direction.

It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned pro or never done yoga a day in your life. There's always something new to discover. My hope is that you'll find new ways to explore into yourself through movement and breath. As a teacher I will work to ground you in a practice that nourishes you both mentally and physically. Whether you are strong in your Warrior or a little tippy in Tree pose there is a place for you in my classes.

I love this quote by Ivan Turgenev, he says "If we wait for the moment when everything, absolutely everything is ready, we shall never begin."
